Women Are Changemakers

Narrative community engagement tool; resource development; facilitation
Organization: Women and HIV/AIDS Initiative (WHAI)
'Women are Changemakers' is a collaborative project that uses narrative art and fables as a tool for community engagement.
Modelled after a popular fable, the project was designed and implemented with communities across Ontario by WHAI to facilitate dialogue about women's sexual health. Inputs from discussions across the province reflected messages of strength, resilience and power in affecting positive change. Unique, inspiring artwork was also created as a retelling the original fable.
